I found one of the softest sweaters of the season and it’s this Free People Break Away pullover. I think having a classic grey sweater in your collection is a must—there’s just something effortless about them—but this sweater does also come in a few more fall-ready tones like mustard, olive and a dark, pinky burgundy color that would be great for holiday festivities.

I’ve worn this sweater with my go-to Levi’s 501 jeans shown here, tucked into skirts paired with boots and tossed on over my faux leather Spanx. It’s a really great, versatile piece and I love the mock neck. It does run a little oversized (as most Free People pieces do), but I think it just lends to the lived-in, effortless, cozy look. It also tucks well but looks great left undone, as well.

Whenever I need a quick outfit for on-the-go days, I reach for an outfit combination like this one but now that it’s finally cooling down, I’ll be swapping my flats out for booties!

FYI, this sweater is currently 30% off at select retailers! Check the first two links below. I’m wearing an xs.

As always, thank you for reading!

The holidays are quickly approaching and with every holiday event comes the need for an appropriate outfit. From work parties to block parties, Thanksgiving and New Year’s (to everything in between), this outfit combination is quick, easy, classic and timeless. If you’re not a jeans girl like me, swapping out the denim for sleek black pants, festive corduroy or a fun skirt will have you holiday ready in no time.

For some reason, fall and winter night out tops is the section of my wardrobe that’s lacking, so every season, I look for styles to bulk up this need. Feminine blouses, long sleeves, things I can easily layer with a jacket are top of priority. This Adelyn Rae Flora Blouse fits the bill. I love the sleek black but it also comes in crisp white and I truly love the versatility of this piece. For a sleek look for work to holiday party, I added this tweed jacket also from Adelyn Rae. The fit is amazing and I love the edgy stud details.

I slipped into my comfiest, low-heeled pumps from Everlane. These go with everything and are so, so comfy and easy to wear. They are two inches high and come in 18 colors! These are a must and make any outfit look sleek and chic.

As always, thank you for reading and ENJOY your holiday season!

I fully believe everyone needs a teddy coat in their collection. They’re definitely a trendy style for the season but it’s also a style you’ll want to pull out each season when the weather changes. Since I snagged a couple low-end styles to test the trend last year, this year I decided to splurge a little on something a bit more high-quality and classic. Enter this perfect Madewell Sherpa Jacket

I absolutely love the silhouette of this one. It’s not overly oversized or too slouchy like some I’ve seen and actually has a bit of structure which, to me, helps it feel a bit more classic. I also love the golden brown tone that adds a rich fall hue to any outfit combination. It’s super soft and the inside is lined with silky fabric. This is truly something I’ve been reaching for morning and night to take the dogs out or just run outside. I even throw it on for extra warmth at my very casual office. It’s just a great casual layer for fall and winter and something you can reach for daily.

I can see this teddy coat looking cute with any color denim (like black for an edgy look) and even a cute and comfy skirt + over the knee boot combo this season. For sizing reference, I’m generally an xs or small and went with the size small.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

It’s finally feeling like fall (actually winter) here in the Bay Area and I’ve been pulling out all my favorite outerwear. I adore this color for the season and a faux suede moto style is such a chic and easy basic both for dressing up and down. I bought this specific one a couple years ago from Shopbop and, unfortunately, this exact one is sold out but I found some nearly identical styles at a great price point like this one from H&M.

I wore it with this pretty dark green blouse and my Levi’s wedgie jeans, which are a chic base for any look. I slipped into python flats but you could add booties for colder weather, as well. If you’re looking for a good outerwear option to take you through the season, I highly recommend something faux suede and in this color—it goes with everything! I linked several faux suede styles at multiple price points below.

I hope you’re all staying warm this season and thank you so much for reading!

The Comfiest Plaid Blazer You Need

plaid boyfriend blazer

Finally found the blazer to make you want to live in blazers. 🙌🏼This Max Studio houndstooth plaid jacket (also in stock HERE) is, in my opinion, a must-have in your wardrobe. It’s the epitome of fall and winter and I’m quickly noticing it makes any outfit look (and feel) instantly elevated. I’ve worn it for daytime, workdays and date night, over sweater tees (like the one here from Anthropologie that’s so good), layered over satin lace camisoles and paired with an olive mini skirt—as seen in my Apple Hill post. It just works anywhere and everywhere. And if you swap out your usual cardigan for this blazer, I swear you will feel so GOOD.

In the past, I’ve thought of blazers as stuffy and stiff, too structured or just not right for my lifestyle. But I was wrong and I have no shame admitting it. I love how this one is more of a slouchy boyfriend style that’s still the perfect amount of fitted and flattering. It’s also a rayon/nylon blend with spandex, which adds the perfect amount of stretch to keep it comfortable. I’ve worn this on car rides and in the movie theater and felt just as comfortable in it as I would have been in a cozy cardigan. That I can promise.

I feel like I’m going way over-the-top hyping this blazer but I just can’t tell you enough how much I love it. And I know you will, too. It’s not stuffy. It’s just really wearable and effortless. For sizing reference, I’m in between xs and small and went with the small, which fits perfectly.

I paired it with black distressed jeans for a more casual vibe here and slipped into these python slingback flats for a little pattern play. Tip when mixing patterns. Stay in the same tones (like the black tones here) and you can’t go wrong.

As always, thank you so much for reading!
