I have to admit, I've only recently become a heel and/or wedge wearer. Don't get me wrong, I've always liked them, but being 5'6" (I swear that's tall, guys) I always hated feeling like I was towering over shorter friends or those not in heels. Not to mention the comfort factor. Walking around in a pair of stilettos (however chic they may look paired with jeans and a tee) is not really my cup of tea. I finally got over my height issue and have recently been loving wedges and block heeled sandals in particular. They're definitely more versatile than pumps, which I pretty much resolved to only wear on special occasions. Like New Years. And that's probably it. But if I'm being totally honest, I still sometimes hobble around in my heels. (Or wedges or whatever.) So, I'm always on the lookout for foot-friendly styles. Meaning friendly to my feet. Comfy. Wearable. Walkable. For more than 10 minutes at a time.

Enter: EMU. Shoes that are literally designed for comfort. It say's so right on their website. Just look at what goes into the design of this pair in particular.

Needless to say, I was impressed and super excited to try out a pair. I snagged these cute Dawn Sandals and I have to say--they really are comfortable. I haven't had a chance to give them a full days wear of walking, but so far, so good with general wear. They're definitely a great example of when comfort and style come together perfectly and I love, love, looooove the color combination. I generally wear an 8 or 8 1/2 and since they only have full sizes I went with the 8 and they fit perfectly. I would definitely size down if you're in between. If you're interested in checking them out and snagging a pair, make sure to sign up for their email list to get 10% off! You can do that here.
