Would you believe me if I said that up until now I didn't own a plaid or flannel shirt? I know--crazy right? They're kind of a wardrobe staple and I guess I didn't realize it until now. This particular one from Blush Boutique is a great weight and length--long enough to pair with leggings, can easily be tied around the waist for that 90s flannel grunge look, and love that the green is a bit of a change up from the typical red/buffalo plaid. I can see it paired with liquid leggings or transitioned into spring with distressed or white denim shorts.

For a casual weekend look, I paired it with these dark wash skinnies also from Blush Boutique. They're perfectly distressed at the knees, super comfy, and can easily go from day to night. I don't know what it is, but somehow I always feel more chic in distressed denim and these ones are perfect for that casual chic style.

While it's not quite spring yet, I can't help but dream of warmer weather ahead. Lights and brights, floral print and springy things--I think I thrive in spring. (And so does my wardrobe.) Yes, I realize I'm incredibly lucky to be wearing shorts in February (thank you California) but the reality is, it's not THAT far off. Whether you've got a tropical vacay in your future or you're stuck in a blizzard and just need a little springspiration, it's never to early to add a little pop of spring into your wardrobe!

These hot pink chiffon shorts from Blush Boutique are quite possible the cutest shorts I've ever seen in the history of ever. I know--that's saying a lot, but they're hot pink and have pockets and I'm in love. They will be amazing for spring and summer paired with a crisp white top, or printed tank, but I really couldn't see myself waiting to wear them. Lucky for me, we had a gorgeous sunny day this weekend, and they got a bit of a winter spin with a neutral sweater and booties, and my favorite fedora.

If you're craving spring and need a way to beat the winter blues, check out Blush Boutique and grab yourself a pair of these hot pink beauties. Come spring, your closet will thank you and they will surely be a summer staple! Or even a potential Valentine's Day look dressed up with heels!
