I adore my blue jeans but there’s something about black denim that makes me feel instantly cool and a little bit edgy any time I slip them on. Whether worn with a simple tee + denim jacket and sneaker combo, dressed up with a pretty blouse or paired with cozy sweaters and tunics, they are certainly a staple to take you through fall and winter. Truly versatile for work, play and everything in between, transitioning from the summer to fall season is the perfect time to pull them out of your closet or invest in a new pair.

These Mavi jeans from Zappos were the perfect style to fill a void in my collection and I absolutely love the fit. Sometimes it can be difficult to find jeans that are comfy, stretchy, flattering and hold their shape all at the same time and these Adrianna Jeans by Mavi nail it.

Mavi says these are made in their “supersoft denim with superior fit retention” and that these keep their shape wear after wear. I found this statement to be 100% accurate and something I personally love finding in denim. Super soft, stretchy jeans that glide over your shape, enhance every curve and don’t stretch out? That’s these. These jeans are unicorn jeans.

I love the “dark smoke” wash, which gives a soft, ever-so-slightly faded look that’s perfect for letting you dress down. This also really lends to the edgy vibe they can take on. In terms of fit, I’ve been in-between sizes and went with my smaller size, which worked out perfectly. I would say they are pretty true to size. They’re also technically a mid-rise but from a high-rise loving girl, I can attest to the fact that they sit a little bit higher up and still offer tummy control plus make tucking a breeze.

These are under $100 ($98 to be exact!) and I love shopping at Zappos because of their incredible customer service and free, 1-day shipping. Like seriously—they are AMAZING and their customer service is beyond wonderful. If you’re in the market for a new pair of jeans to mix up your collection for the new season, look to Mavi for their classic, comfy, flattering fits. Perfect everyday closet staple. 🙌🏼

As always, thank you so much for reading!

One of my most-worn items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been this Treasure & Bond duster cardigan—hands down. 🙌🏼I love having easy, effortless styles I can throw on to feel chic and put together in an instant and I've always said a duster cardigan is the epitome of that. I love the casual-chic vibe of a grey heather tone but you really can't go wrong with black, tan, white—everything.

This one is a one-size-fits-all style and on my 5'6" frame it's a great length to wear with jeans, shorts and even dresses. I've paired this with a white slip dress to give it a casual vibe, it looks great with a black t-shirt dress and is the easiest thing to throw on over your favorite white tank or tee. Here, I layered a lace camisole underneath for a feminine touch and love how the cardigan drapes so effortlessly. This was the perfect look for a day filled with lunch and errands and I love how the cami dresses up your look over a plain white tee. Add sneakers for an extra casual vibe or booties to take the look into fall.

This duster cardigan has truly been the first thing I reach for when I wake up to take the dogs out, when I have my morning coffee on the patio (or couch) and I love it for work when you're in a/c. There's just something about a duster cardigan that's effortless and easy and will surely be a must for your fall wardrobe.

A note on this cardigan: It does have wool in it, so it has a slight scratch when you first put it on but I noticed it softened up perfectly and does not feel itchy. I linked to this exact style plus a few more favorites below.

Is anyone getting a taste of fall where they live? We've had some cooler weather here in the Bay Area lately and while I am NEVER one to wish away summer, it had me feeling like "hey, let's go home and light candles and snuggle up with the heater turned on" and I have to admit—I kinda liked it.

But what's a girl to do when it's technically still summer but also cooling off? Or better yet, when it's fall yet it's still hot out? One of my favorite ways to transition my outfits through these mid-seasons is to pair my jeans with anything in fall hues. I fell in love with the caramel-gold color of this Line & Dot square neck blouse and it's the epitome of perfect for summer to fall style. You know when a top just makes you feel good? This is that. 🙌🏼It has that warm, sunny yellow tone for warm summer weather, yet feels rich for the fall season, as well. It reminds me of Thanksgiving and I love that.

During this weird transitional time, I also love to start shopping for blouses with sleeves. They're great for the office and I can pair them with jeans or even shorts to finish out the summer. Try denim in a lighter wash for summer or darker (even black) come fall. A few more wonderful colors to take you from summer to fall? Deep greens, plums, marigold, burnt orange, etc. I love how these still feel somewhat muted and neutral and you can try a sleeveless style in one of these tones paired with a cardigan or even tuck this top into a skirt and pair with booties later on.

For sizing reference, I'm wearing an xs in the top and size 26 in the jeans and I'm normally between a 25/26.

How do transition your wardrobe into fall? Or do you?
