Spring is almost here and while we’ve been lucky to have a taste of spring weather (hello, 70 degrees!), there’s still a little layering to be done this season. Having styles for these transitional months is essential and I absolutely adore pairing flirty, feminine dresses with edgy layers and details. You may remember this floral midi dress I snagged in my first Trunk Club and it’s such a sweet staple. I personally love having midi dresses in my collection because they’re versatile and flattering and can easily bridge the gap between seasons.

This particular style is definitely one you can wear in the spring and summer months with strappy sandals and wedges, as well as into fall and winter with cozy cardigans and outerwear. I added an edgy vibe with a moto jacket here but a denim jacket would work well for spring, as well!

I love how this midi dress has subtle puff sleeves for interest plus the perfect slit placement, so it doesn’t become too dowdy which a floral, long-sleeve midi dress can definitely do. It also nips in at the waist just enough.

I can’t wait to keep this dress in rotation for spring and summer. It’s a great little staple to have on-hand for casual days, date night and special events. Think Easter, Mother’s Day, weekend brunches, weddings, bridal showers, etc! For reference, I’m 5’6” and have the xs.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

You guys, if I had to live in one pair of shorts for the rest of my life, this would be the pair. They're the Socialite Woven Shorts from Nordstrom and are the most comfortable, perfectly relaxed style I own and are so good I bought them in three colors—navy, olive and black. They're priced really well at $38 and I'm wearing an XS for size reference.

This Kimchi Blue Goldie Floral Flutter-Sleeve Tee from Urban Outfitters is also pretty adorable. From the floral to the flutter sleeves—it's kind of perfect. It also has an open, split-back and last time I checked it was half off making it under $25.

This Hugh bag was one of my first purchases from ShoeDazzle—along with this tie blouse—and I really love how it goes with everything and is super crazy soft. ShoeDazzle is one of those "monthly showroom" sites and when I saw this bag it was the first month I decided not to "skip." I'll definitely be paying more attention, because it seems like they have some really well-priced gems.

Oh, floral print. I adore you. I tend to welcome spring with floral and gravitate towards it throughout the summer months, but lately I've been thinking about how I can incorporate it into Fall, as well. Scarves, knits, blazers?? While I wasn't expecting to start the Fall season in shorts, I knew I had to at least give them a Fall spin. I thought this was the perfect look for the transition. Classic woven shorts and a floral knit with neutral (and gold) accessories.

I picked up these Franco Sarto d'orsay flats from Nordstrom Rack over the weekend and I'm so excited to have them for Fall. I've totally fallen in love with d'orsay flats and heels (so flattering and hello, lengthening!) and I love the classic color of these. Nordstrom Rack had a great selection of boots and booties (and sweaters and jackets and way too many things I had to resist) but I would highly recommend stopping by if you have one near you and are on the hunt for Fall shoes. My sister got the most gorgeous pair of Rebecca Minkoff d'orsay flats (like sister, like sister) and I grabbed a must have pair of ankle boots, as well. :)

Thanks for reading and Happy Fall!

Out of all the prints and patterns out there, floral has got to be my fave. I always look forward to spring and summer when flowers are flourishing both in the ground and on the racks. I am drawn to floral like a moth to a flame, so when I saw this skirt at Target months ago, I knew it had to be mine. I love the soft peachy-pink color with the pops of blue, the feminine fabric, and swingy silhouette. There's something about a swing skirt that just makes you want to twirl, and I may have done a twirl or two. Or three.

This weather has been a bit confused here in the SF Bay Area, and a few days ago I was enjoying 70 degree weather and gearing up for Fall. When I realized we were back in the 90's I was momentarily annoyed until I remembered that meant I can get a little more use out of my favorite summer staples.

So I threw on my swing skirt, a simple navy blouse, and duh, pops of gold. Even after Fall officially rolls in, I can still see this skirt paired with booties and a comfy sweater, or a cute moto jacket. So it looks like I will be falling for floral and I'm definitely okay with that!

Thanks for reading!
