10 Straw Bags On Trend for Spring and Summer

10 Straw Bags On Trend for Spring

With spring officially in full swing and summer on the horizon, I wanted to share my newest favorite bag trend—the straw bag. From straw to rattan to woven, this trend has been going strong this season and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon, especially with the start of summer around the corner.

I wanted to take a moment to share my two favorite styles in my collection with you plus 8 more on-trend styles to take you through this season and beyond. Bonus points for all of them being under $100!

A style I'm sure you've been seeing this season is the rattan circle bag and honestly, if you're going to get one rattan or straw bag for spring, I'd go with a circle style. I was skeptical at how much wear I'd get out this bag beyond my tropical vacation and I must say, I've been reaching for it with all of my casual combos just as much as I was during my vacation. The circle silhouette is right on-trend and the style adds a chic and effortless look to any outfit. I personally prefer this natural tone because it goes with everything.

Sizing tip: Make sure you find one that's big enough to fit your phone! My exact bag is from Kinilush

Another one in my collection is this Free People straw clutch and I love how it can do double duty in terms of wearability. You can use it as a clutch for a summer vacation but it also comes with a strap that can be worn crossbody or on the shoulder for daily wear. It's not often you find a style that can do both.

I wanted to round up a few more straw bags I'm eying for the season and hope you love them as much as I do. What are your thoughts on this trend for spring?

As always, thank you so much for reading and enjoy your spring and summer!

The Most Flattering Top

I’ve said it before but I truly think a wrap top is flattering on pretty much any frame. It nips in at the waist and creates that instant hourglass silhouette that, let’s face it—doesn’t every woman want?

I adore this J.Crew wrap top and love how it’s the perfect twist on a classic button-down but even blousier styles are just as flattering. I think knit styles are perfect for added comfort but there's something about a little structure and flounce from silkier styles that make me feel more confident in a wrap silhouette. Do you find this, as well?

I think a wrap top is one of those wardrobe workhorses that you can pull out to pair with jeans for day to date night or dress up with black (or any color) trousers for an easy work-ready ensemble. I added light-wash, distressed jeans to dress the top down but you could also try your wrap tops with dark denim for a dressed-up feel.

As always, thank you for reading!
