I’ve cracked the code to making any outfit look holiday-ready and it’s this little velvet and sequin clutch. Paired with sweaters in any color or as a way to take your work look from desk to holiday dinner, it’s the quickest way to festive attire and just adds the perfect finishing touch and sparkle for the season. I promise.

In this look, I added it to this & Other Stories bell sleeve sweater that can go from casual to dressy with ease. I love the deep green for the season and it instantly feels holiday-ready. Mock neck style sweaters are also a great staple that’s right on-trend. I know turtlenecks aren’t for everyone but a mock neck can bridge the gap to give off that chic and bundled look without sacrificing comfort—or feeling stuffy. Personally, I love having sweaters with just a little something extra and details like mock necks or bell sleeves give basic styles the perfect twist to elevate your holiday look.

Of course, I tucked this sweater into my Levi’s Wedgie jeans that have been getting plenty of wear this season. I love how well they pair with booties and how chic they look with my M.Gemi Corsa boots underneath. These booties are sheer perfection, I swear. I have a hard time finding ankle boots that aren’t too high yet still have a bit of a heel, so they don’t feel frumpy. These are 2.15 inches and are really manageable. I love how they come up higher on the leg and look great with dresses, too. So far, they haven’t needed any breaking in period and are really comfortable for all-day wear.

They’re definitely a splurge but you can get $60 off with code TYLER60 and I promise the quality is incredible. I’m in between sizes (8 and 8.5) and went with the size 39 which fits perfectly.

As always, thank you so much for reading!

I found one of the softest sweaters of the season and it’s this Free People Break Away pullover. I think having a classic grey sweater in your collection is a must—there’s just something effortless about them—but this sweater does also come in a few more fall-ready tones like mustard, olive and a dark, pinky burgundy color that would be great for holiday festivities.

I’ve worn this sweater with my go-to Levi’s 501 jeans shown here, tucked into skirts paired with boots and tossed on over my faux leather Spanx. It’s a really great, versatile piece and I love the mock neck. It does run a little oversized (as most Free People pieces do), but I think it just lends to the lived-in, effortless, cozy look. It also tucks well but looks great left undone, as well.

Whenever I need a quick outfit for on-the-go days, I reach for an outfit combination like this one but now that it’s finally cooling down, I’ll be swapping my flats out for booties!

FYI, this sweater is currently 30% off at select retailers! Check the first two links below. I’m wearing an xs.

As always, thank you for reading!

Is there anything better than a cable knit sweater in a classic cream tone? Arguably, I’m sure there is but for the purpose of this post, let’s go with—no!

But for real, I love having classic pieces you can rely on (remember this similar look?) and a cable knit sweater is just one of those things. My preference is to gravitate towards lighter weight styles that can keep you classic and comfortable no matter the season. For now, I paired mine with these Madewell high-rise skinny jeans and have been loving adding a rich-toned faux suede jacket. This exact one is sold out but I’m linking almost identical dupes below.

Tip: With knits like this, a half tuck always, always adds a polished and put-together yet relaxed feel. I also love the laidback and relaxed look of this Sole Society bag and how spacious it is. It also comes with a great inner pouch.

I have been slipping into these Everlane Modern Loafers in camel a lot recently and I love how they go with everything. They were a bit of a splurge but I know I’ll get so much wear out of them and they’ll be in my wardrobe for years. Sizing note: I’d definitely suggest sizing up. They do run a bit narrow/small and I’ve found I’ve needed to do some breaking in. When I first got them I wore them around the house with thick socks and applied a bit of heat with a blow dryer to stretch out the leather.

Oh, Vans. I remember my first checkered pair I designed in high school with a pale pink trim that I was so proud of. It’s been a while since I’ve had a pair but I couldn’t resist this soft grey tone. I love the casual-cool vibe sneakers give off and this color goes with just about everything.

I paired them with a favorite Madewell high-rise denim (the fit on these is so good + they're beyond comfy!) but I also love sneakers to dress-down dresses and can see these looking adorable with white denim or cutoff shorts into spring and summer. For now, my trusty BlankNYC moto jacket and this oh-so-cozy ribbed sweater work perfectly.

For reference, I range from an 8 to 8.5 and got the Vans in an 8 and they fit perfectly. Though they were slightly squeaky to break in!

Black UGG Boots and White Sweater

I am always on the hunt for boots that can take me from casual to dressy and often feel the struggle of getting the style just right. Too dressy and I won't wear them for day, too flat and they feel sloppy for night, too high and I can't even walk...the list goes on.

I always think of UGG as the quintessential brand for slipper styles but took a peek at the Nordstrom site and found myself obsessing over their casual-cool, wearable-for-everyday styles. I've mentioned this before, but Nordstrom is always my go-to when shoe-shopping. They have the best styles and size exchanges are always easy. Enter these Camden Chelsea Boots by UGG to meet that hard-to-find, perfect-boot mold.

A Chelsea boot is definitely the epitome of casual-cool but I have a couple styles that fall flat when I'm trying to style them. In keeping with the comfy nature that UGG exudes, these have an easy stacked heel that helps keep you on your feet and a well-cushioned footbed to enhance that. I try not to do any boot over 3 inches for every day and these are the perfect height at 2.5". I love the black leather for a sophisticated feel and the longer shaft is perfect for tucking in jeans and not having to fuss with cuffing and rolling. They have an ankle boot feel without having to worry about cold ankles—win win win! If you're looking for something fleece-lined, I also love these!

I threw them on with dark-wash, high-rise skinny jeans by Joe's (I won't wear anything lower than high these days!) and added the comfiest Free People sweater for a casual winter vibe but I've also worn these with the same jeans and a blouse + moto jacket for a dressier dinner.

These boots + my UGG sneakers from my previous post have been easy go-to's this season and I hope you love them, too!

What are your must-have boots?

Cozy Cream Pullover

If you haven't already heard—this just might be my favorite sweatshirt EVER. I have been wearing this Free People pullover non-stop since I got it and it’s quickly become the one item I reach for again and again. I will literally throw it on when I wake up in the morning and change into it when I get home from work. It’s almost embarrassing how much I wear it yet not embarrassing at all because it’s just. that. good.

I’ve seen this sweater in and out of stock which is why it's taken me a while to get this post up. I didn’t want to share if you wouldn't be able to snag it! But—it’s currently back in stock. Just move fast! I’ve linked it below at as many retailers as I could find but if you can’t snag it—keep checking back! I’ve seen it come in and out several times this season.

It does run a bit big but I went with my normal size (xs) and I love the fit. The cream color and plush feel give it an ultra-cozy vibe and if you get one new sweater this season, let this one be it!

I also love the fit of these Free People Busted Knee Skinny Jeans so much so that I bought them in multiple washes. They're such a steal at $78.

Enjoy the end of your week and weekend and thanks for reading!

Weekends in my book are all about comfort. Honestly, sometimes I don't even change out of workout wear. And I probably didn't even work out. Just sayin. Typically, I'll throw on a pair of jeans and a baseball cap and call it a day, but I think you're kind of winning when your jeans and baseball cap are actually a little bit presentable. Distressed denim + sweater + baseball cap + leopard oxfords = out the door in the easiest casual weekend look.

This Jcrew cap was from last year, but they still have a similar style, or you can check out some of my current faves below. Leopard print and buffalo plaid?? Swooning.

P.S. This Goodnight Macaroon sweater is sold out, but you can have them notify you when there are more available!

Currently Coveting: Sweaters

Sweater weather is officially here to stay and while I love summer and sunshine and the little tanks and tees that go with it, there's something about being wrapped up in a cozy sweater that makes me immensely happy. From turtlenecks and cowl necks to cashmere and cable knits, I'm rounding up some of the sweaters that are currently on my radar. All of these beauties are from Gap and Forever 21 (plus one from my all time favorite, ASOS) and I am absolutely adoring the soft neutral hues in classic silhouettes. I told myself to take break...but I think I may have to make a trip for a couple...winter sweater staples. ;)

Check out my Shop page for more things I'm currently coveting!
