Whenever I’m in an outfit funk, I remember I buy basics for a reason. It’s so nice having pieces you can rely on that just work. With everything. A striped top is just one of those things and it forever will be. I added this Madewell striped turtleneck into my wardrobe this season and I don’t see it ever leaving. It’s such a comfy piece that you can wear now layered with your go-to moto, anorak and cardigan or pair with cropped denim and cutoffs into spring and summer. Hello, perfect top!

I added it to my favorite Free People busted knee skinny jeans in black and slipped into these Everlane loafers in camel for a bit of a Parisian/Audrey Hepburn vibe. (Sizing tip: size UP in these, they run small!)

This is definitely one of those looks that just feels put together in an instant. You could easily swap out the ripped jeans for sleek black pants and pumps for the office. 

My camel faux suede moto jacket is old but I’m adding super similar dupes at a great price point below.
