Quality over quantity has been my motto lately and with spring (kind of) officially in the air, I’m taking this approach with me into the new season by focusing on building a spring capsule wardrobe. A capsule wardrobe is essentially made up of style staples you can easily pull together and mix and match with ease.

On a personal level, I know I feel anxious seeing my closet full of seasonal trends that may not have stood the test of time or didn’t last across multiple seasons. So my goal for a spring capsule is this: investing in basics I feel confident in. Less trends, more easy-breezy style staples. Creating a closet you can pull from to easily create looks you feel confident in. Isn’t that what shopping should always be about? Finding pieces that “spark joy”?

For me, I know I always feel my best in casual-chic basics with a flattering fit and feel. I also adore finding pieces with some sort of twist and tend to gravitate towards feminine styles more heavily in the warmer months. You’ll find me in wrap silhouettes, touches of floral here, lace and ruffles to name a few.

I want to start sharing more of what I have my eye on and a few things I’m currently loving for spring include: light wash denim especially in ankle lengths which looks really great with spring slides, fitted knits in neutrals and stripes, breezy white tops and neutral shoes in styles like loafers and slides. I really love having these classic basics you can literally throw on to feel put together in an instant. The beauty of a capsule wardrobe is that everything works together!
