When the weather warms up for spring, you’ll usually find me in light wash jeans and bright white tops but I love the tonal twist on this outfit combination. In my opinion, a monochromatic outfit (i.e. a look made up of one color or shades of the same color) is an instant way to look effortless…sans effort.

Blue-on-blue may make my mind wander to a Canadian Tuxedo but I love the fresher, modern appeal this Moon River Ruched Sleeve Top adds to a “denim on denim” look. Moon River is one of my favorite affordable brands when I’m looking for slightly more feminine styles and this top does not disappoint. Ruching combined with subtle ruffle trim truly makes this a statement sleeve. Polished and pretty, statement sleeves truly are outfit makers. Another affordable brand I love for statement sleeves and “outfit-making” tops? Line & Dot.

I tucked this top into my AGOLDE Riley jeans, which are the perfect light and effortless shade of blue. As a denim lover, I’m surprised I haven’t reached for this “denim blue” tonal outfit combination more often but I can’t wait to take this outfit well into summer paired with denim shorts and a great pair of sandals.

As always, thank you so much for reading and I hope you are staying safe, sane and healthy during this uncertain and crazy time. ❤️
