Nesting in Jenni Kayne Riviera Slip Dress

A time-trusted dress silhouette, the slip dress has long been my go-to for effortless summer style for all things casual to dressy. Now more than ever, I love this breezy style in my maternity rotation, yet I’ve found not every slip dress in my closet is bump-friendly at nearly 30 weeks.

Enter the Jenni Kayne Riviera Slip Dress. It’s an easy throw-on-and-go shape that’s comfortable-cool and the material wears more casually than my J.Crew satin-like slip dresses, for example. It’s 100% raw silk, though I’d describe it as more of a textured linen. The shape is flattering and it’s just one of those dresses that makes you feel beautiful yet isn’t overly fussy. Win win.

I have the color Ivory and want to note it appears as more of a white on the Jenni Kayne site.

For size reference, I’m in my usual size (xs) and am 5’6”. I’ve worn this from very early pregnancy (pre-bump) and have had room to grow. I would say it’s true to size with a relaxed fit. With all Jenni Kayne pieces, I think there’s room to play depending on fit preference—without sacrificing style. For instance, you could easily size up for an even more relaxed feel that would still feel effortless. ~~
