My Black Friday Wardrobe Staples

My Black Friday Wardrobe Staples | www.girlmeetsgold.com

Happy Sunday! I wanted to round up the wardrobe staples I bought on sale this Black Friday weekend because I think they would be a classic addition to anyone’s wardrobe! In terms of clothes, I always try to focus on classic items during major sales. I look for pieces that fill a void in my collection or replace something old with something higher-quality. These are a few of the things I found…

  1. Ribbed Knit Striped Mock-Neck Tee: A definite wardrobe staple and this has the perfect subtle mock neck for the season. Picked this one up on sale for just under $25. A ribbed knit is also my favorite for more fitted styles—they’re more flattering!

  2. Tortoise Sunglasses: I’ve worn the same Ray-Ban sunglasses for 2-3 years and have been looking for a larger style that’s more of a “throw on” pair for no-makeup days, walking the dogs, travel, etc. I have a hard time with sunglasses and had a chance to try this pair on in-store—I love the oversized effect while still being classic. And they’re polarized!

  3. Weatherproof Bootie: This was my biggest splurge of the weekend but these definitely fill a void in my wardrobe. They’re a weatherproof style but I love how they also look polished and chic—perfect for both casual and dressy and everything from denim to dresses! I really love the narrow shaft and lower heel on these and am hoping these end up being the perfect sock bootie I’ve been searching for!

  4. Ribbed Camel Crewneck T-Shirt: I love adding this chic color to my wardrobe this season and this one will be the perfect lightweight layer to pair with cardigans and coats.

  5. Cole Haan Nude Sneakers: I’ve been eyeing this exact pair for several months and am glad I waited to snag them on sale. I live in sneakers on the weekend and have been needing to replace a well-loved pair. The nude color makes these a little more chic for daily wear with both leggings and jeans. I have several Cole Haan shoes and find they run big, so I did size down in these.

  6. Grey Top Coat: Added this to fill a void in my outerwear collection. I don’t have a ton of topcoats that can do both casual and dressy and I think this one definitely can. The perfect chic layer to pair with cozy sweaters or even blouses for the holidays.

  7. Madewell High-Rise Skinny Jeans: My go-to skinny jean brand for work, Madewell does stretchy, comfy, flattering like no other. I have this style in a few variations but most of them have ripped knees, so I wanted to add a more classic pair to my collection.

  8. Grey Duster Cardigan: An effortless style to throw on and go or wear around the house. These are the casual styles I live in year-round and I think a duster length is ultra-flattering. It instantly gives a casual-chic & polished feel to basic knits and tees. The grey will go with everything and I love that it’s recycled wool for added warmth. Love throwing these on for the office or with leggings and sneakers for weekend wear!

As always, thank you for stopping by!
