To be honest, summer might be my favorite season solely because you don’t have to worry about layers. 🙊While I know jackets, coats and cardigans can have a massive impact on an outfit, I never really like to fuss with them. Or feel fussy in them. Maybe I don’t have enough outerwear experience living in California but I really think this is a common issue!

So when I find outerwear options that aren’t fussy, are easy to throw on and go, feel chic, “make” an outfit and can be worn several ways—I’m in. A linen blazer is one of those styles and (in my opinion) is a perfect outerwear option to transition into spring.

This Michael Stars Lottie Linen blazer comes in a few classic colors (black, white, tan, even blue) but I couldn’t resist the tan or “castle” color for the spring season. It’s one of those effortless neutrals that just feels fresh. It has a menswear-inspired silhouette but I find the details (single breast, tortoise-like buttons, nipped-in waist) add the right amount of femininity.

Wear it to the office, pair with jeans for a casual Friday, layer it over a silky camisole for date night…you can even take it casually into summer paired with shorts. For reference, I have the xs which is my normal size.

I paired it with a sleeveless tank, my AGOLDE Remy jeans and the cap-toe pumps (under $60!) I’ve been living in lately.

I’ve been getting a few AGOLDE questions, so I’ll share a bit more info. Personally, I think these are a good mix between my Nico Skinny and Riley jeans. They have the look of a rigid, 100% cotton jean but they’re slightly thinner, softer and stretchier than the AGOLDE Riley jeans. These offer their signature warp stretch fabric that molds to the body. I’m typically a size 25 in denim and personally sized down to the 24 in these but I think it just depends on body type and fit preference. For reference, I’m 5’6”. The wash is “Renewable".

As always, thank you so much for reading!
